I became an orthodontist to help people, and, in the process, develop great relationships with them. I appreciate the diversity of my days, the conversations with people of different ages with a range of experiences and interests, and how each interaction broadens my world.
I started practicing orthodontics in 1996. Growing up and watching my father, Dr. Cobb, Jr., as he cared for patients, and seeing the connections he made and the happiness he delivered, led me to follow in his footsteps. I am honored to practice by his side at the office he established in 1966. Since I share a name with my dad, please call me Dr. Tripp.
I strive to give each of my patients the smile and confidence they deserve. By incorporating technologically advanced techniques into treatment, I’m able to develop a care approach that’s comfortable and fast. My focus is on functional, stable results for improved oral health and a pleasing smile that lasts a lifetime.
At Cobb Orthodontics, we provide highly individualized care. No one is forced into a certain treatment plan. Each person’s experience is uniquely customized and carried out to meet that person’s needs and expectations, while respecting their concerns.
I care deeply about my patients, their families, and my staff. Each person brings new ideas to my life and helps me see the world in new ways!

Beyond the Practice
I grew up in Greensboro and graduated from Western Guilford High School. Beyond creating smiles and studying the latest processes and technologies, I enjoy time with my daughter and son. I’m also active and like biking, skiing, golfing, hiking, kayaking, and fishing and hunting.
